Clubs at ALJH
At Alta Loma Junior High, clubs and student activities play an important role in helping students build friendships, explore new interests, develop leadership skills, and feel connected to school. Our goal is to provide a variety of opportunities that encourage students to get involved beyond the classroom.
Each year, students are introduced to campus clubs during Club Rush, held during lunch early in the school year (typically in late August). Club offerings vary annually based on student interest and staff sponsorship and may include academic, service, recreational, and special interest clubs. Most clubs meet during lunch, while others may meet after school, depending on the activity and advisor. Students are welcome to participate in multiple clubs throughout the year as their interests and schedules allow.
Students are also encouraged to take the initiative by proposing new clubs centered around shared interests. All clubs must have a staff advisor. Information about starting a club is shared with students prior to Club Rush each year and is always available in the Wolves DEN, our online student hub. New clubs may also be formed throughout the school year as student interest and staff availability allow.
We encourage every student to explore the many opportunities available, try something new, and discover activities that make their junior high experience even more meaningful.
