Student Emergency care kits

Dear Alta Loma Elementary Families,

Alta Loma School District is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. We are establishing an emergency supply of non-perishable food items to be used in case of unforeseen circumstances that may require us to stay on campus longer than planned for the 2024-2025 school year.

We kindly request that each family send the following items for their child:

  • Disposable water bottle or 2 small juice cans. Please be sure it is sealed with no leaks, and that

the expiration date is beyond June of the current school year.

  • Nut-free granola bars, protein bars, or other small non-perishable snacks. Again, please be sure that the expiration date is beyond June of the current school year.

  • A comfort letter from home, this note is a special way to remind them of your love and support.

A simple message of encouragement, a favorite quote, or a comforting thought can go a long way in reassuring your child during uncertain times.

  • Optional: Small picture of family (4x6)

  • Write the student's full name and room number in permanent marker on the outside of the bag

  • Items should be in a gallon ziploc bag, sealed (and easy to re-seal)

  • If your student has allergies, please note in permanent marker on the outside of the bag

  • Please do not include nuts (tree nuts or peanuts) for the safety of students

Please send the ziploc bag with your child’s name and room number with non-perishable food items and the encouraging note to school with your child by October 15, 2024. Collection boxes will be placed in each classroom, and we will ensure that all items are properly stored and ready for use in the event of an emergency.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. Together, we can ensure that our children are safe and cared for, no matter the situation.

Warm regards,

Mr. Jauss

Principal
