Carnelian will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge Jan 26-30! Join us as we dress for spirit days, while also doing a small act of kindness each day next week!

Hello Carnelian Community! PTA has a spectacular fundraiser event planned for us that includes having an In N Out dinner and pictures with Santa! Don't miss out on this great opportunity! For every meal that is purchased for $8, Carnelian receives $6 that will go towards supporting our students and school. Your family also gets a picture with Santa when you purchase a meal! Come out on December 10th and join us for a Supper with Santa!

Hello Carnelian Community! Next weekend, in honor of Veterans Day, there will no school on Monday, November 10th or Tuesday, November 11th. We will return on Wednesday, November 12th, which is a modified day for grades K-5.

Hello Cardinal Families! Tomorrow is our annual Halloween Costume Parade at 8:20 a.m. on the upper grade black top! Field Parking is available and parents can stand on the grass behind the classes. Please be sure your student's costume is school-appropriate and does not have fake gore, violence or fake weapons of any kind. We look forward to celebrating this Carnelian Halloween tradition tomorrow with our entire community!

October brings a lot of awareness and a lot of Spirit Days for students to participate in! This is the last week we will encourage orange on Wednesday for our character trait, Responsibility. Student Senate will reward the classes with the highest participation! Friday, we are inviting our community to wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Next week, PTA has a great Red Ribbon Week planned!

Did you miss Coffee with the Principal last week? Don't worry! Mrs. Williams sent an email with the presentation and handouts to all Carnelian families. This month's topic was PBIS and Bully Prevention lessons and reporting procedures. October is Bully Prevention Month and our students will be learning the definition of bullying and what they can do to respond and help prevent it. Our school counselor, Ms. Moreno also helped create a student video so that we can hear from our Cardinal students on the topic of bullying. There is also a Family Newsletter on Bully Prevention so that the discussion can continue at home as well.

October 1st is an exciting day!

Tomorrow is our PTA Footloose Fundraiser Dance-a-thon event! PTA provided each Cardinal student with a free shirt to wear! We are looking forward to some dancing fun tomorrow! Cardinals-remember to wear your Footloose Fundraiser shirts! See you on the dance floor!

Hello Carnelian Families! PTA President, Jason Fell just held our Footloose Fundraiser Kick Off assembly this morning, so our fundraiser event has officially started and the kids are excited! The next few days are going to be filled with fun as we discover new worlds and work together to raise $30,000 for Assemblies, Award Lunches, School Events, Teacher Appreciation, etc.. at Carnelian Elementary! Every student will participate in the fun through a character-building program, event day, and school incentives. Here are a few things you can do to help us reach our big goals! Register your student at MyBooster.com to join the fun. Search for “Carnelian Elementary.” Donate and share. We are encouraging every family to share their donation page with 10 people. Throughout the week, each class will earn fun rewards based on how much they raise on their classroom tracker. When a class earns a reward, this adds some extra awesomeness to their day.
